Penn State has Joined the Challenge

Here are a few pictures from Brigitte "Frosty" Reydams' trip back east to visit her son at Penn State. She is taking this challenge very serious and completed her daily push ups all over the university. Here are a few descriptions of the pictures. Hitting the deck in front of "Old Main" Penn state university campus, pusing with Vincent on the "Nittany Lion" at 2am, the senior swim team bbq, push ups with "Peanut" the pit bull in upstate New York, and in the bar with one of the swimmers.

Incline Redux May 16 09

While the rest of you Pushers were sleeping off Friday night's festivities, two fellow Pushers braved the elements this morning at 6amMT. Coach Neumann beat her personal best-ascending in 41 minutes and Cody Pope did his inaugural journey beside her in gentlemanly fashion. It is rumored that Pope challenged Neumann for a second round but they decided to delay until Round Three later this season. Justin and Lee, we believe Cody may give you a run for your money.

6 weeks and still pushing!

Team CMR greets guests as they exit the elevator. Great fun was had by all!

Day 44

I wanted to remind you that push-ups can be done anytime, anywhere; no extra equipment is required; and they are always good for a conversation starter. I share this photo with you as proof of that theory. Fortunately (or unfortunately?) I was travelling alone this past weekend and met several new friends as a result of my time on the floor in the COS airport. May have even conducted a bit of good business; we shall soon see. Coach Neumann

Even CMR Clients are getting in on the Push-Ups! 4.30.09

Happy Thursday!!!

After the Incline yesterday, I did some appointments in Denver and got one of the Furniture Row clients to hit the floor with me in their corporate headquarters lobby. Our fitness challenge spreads way beyond CMR and Colorado Springs now!

The Incline Challenge April 29, 2009

The Manitou Incline is a 0.9 mile grade. The steepest section is at a grade of 68% with the average grade just over 40%. Since the early 1990's, the incline has become a popular spot for hikers, Olympic trainers or anyone serious about getting into shape.

Team: I just wanted to say thank you for a glorious morning hike with all of you. Your competitive spirit is eclipsed only by your respect for your fellow team members. I am proud to be part of our group. At last count, there were 17 of us out there at 5:15am this morning; joined by our club member friends, Gene, Greg and Shadow—that made an even 20. We tip our hat to Justin who we were all secretly rooting for to beat Lee (Sorry Champ) but duly note that Louisa (and Fran?) were close on your heels. For all you first timers, we salute you!!

The true victory was in that we all made it to the top-- many waited and cheered for the stragglers (all over the age of 40, mind you, with some pushing 50)-- and that most of us still had it in us to do a few push-ups in honor of those who couldn’t make it. (See photos). I don’t have many of Team Lightening that sprinted to the top, but we know who you are and you are duly honored. We missed you, Brother. But, Fran did you proud.

Keep Pushing. Coach Neumann

"THE FRAN"

Fran Kayton is a fellow pusher that has taken this challenge more serious than anyone out there. She not only completes her pushups each day but also perfects the rest of her body twice a day. Fran is a fitness trainer at the Country Club of Colorado and also competes in women's bodybuilding competitions. Here are some pictures of her most recent accomplishments from this past weekend taking the honor of 1st place. I think we all agree that the CMR pushup challenge put her over the top.
