Naples Bay Resort Joins the Challenge!!!

Here are some pictures of me pushing with Anne and Eric, members of our Naples Bay Resort family in Florida. I was working out in the gym this morning and started talking to the fitness director about our "100 push ups" challenge. After showing her the website and reading some inspirational stories, she was hooked. She was so excited that she grabbed the closest employee and we started pushing for the camera. I'm really enjoying the benchmark camaraderie here in Florida, thanks Anne and Eric. Next I will be working on getting the other departments to step up and try the challenge. CMR push ups have made their way down to south Florida.

Wall Chair Challenge, Tuesday, August 26, 2009

A great competition today. WOW. For those who were not present, we had a good dozen at the wall. Many made it to 4 minutes. Our very own TurfTamer, Dave Grimes surprised us all by surpassing 5 minutes with perfect form (and for a minute or two with crossed leg)--all he needed was a smoke and a Coors to make that photo priceless. WonderWomanLegsofSteel and Princess Jess came in 3rd. Lightning Aussie ranked 2nd (but held her form to perfection longer than all): The Fran and Fleet Feet tied for 1st (surpassing 10 minutes). As the stakes have grown higher, Drill Sergeant Lopez has insisted on judging the next round and demanding perfect 90 degree form from all. We’ll let you know when the next round is just as soon as Group Rooms closes a whale! I guarantee it will not be for the faint-hearted.

13 Warriors brave Pikes Peak Ascent, Sunday, August 23, 2009

Picture of Health, The Gracious Athlete, Lightning Aussie, Bootcamp, The Fran, Fran's Man, Bulldog, BarCurls, FoN, Guns in Tights, 1DBB, Christine and John made the trek. Some stopped for coffee, pancakes and Barr Camp culture (see photo), others rocketed to the top in less than 5 1/2 hours. But there was always time for a couple of push-ups. Needless to say, the views were incredible, the conversation stimulating (except that last grueling mile) and the kinship unforgetable.

A big Shout-Out to AllNighter this weekend!

AllNighter is in Minneapolis walking 60 miles in 3 days to raise money to end Breast Cancer by paying tribute to the many women and men who have lost their battle with breast cancer, and honoring the survivors.

This fellow Pusher (2nd from left) began her 60-mile journey today.

We are rooting for you in Colorado Springs, Michelle!
53 pushups (not bad!)

72 seconds of wall chairs.

I just want to wish everyone good luck this weekend when climbing up Pikes Peak. I will be doing the incline tomorrow morning with Lightning Aussie and Lisa at 5:30am, that is about as high as I get!

Have a great time, and be safe!

Push ups, not so bad, only 23.

"Wall chairs" and pushups for the day

Yes, I have made the change, we are officially doing wall chairs, not wall squats! We don't have any "chairs" to do today, but we do have an extra 12 pushups to do. I EXPECT YOU ALL TO DO THEM AT ONE TIME!!

P.O. Ward

AllNighter sends a photo op with this sentiment...

This is what the first set of 34 push ups looks like after 90 min of Bikram Yoga and a 5 mile run.

I wonder if this newly recruited Pusher knows some of us "old" Pushers still can't do 34 push-ups in a row even after a good night's rest? Inspiration for all of us, AllNighter!!

Pushups and squats for the day...

Since I did not post the number for yesterday, I am combining both days.

Pushups: 94
Squats: 8 minutes and 36 seconds

Those of you who did the incline this morning at 5am, sorry, you still have to do all the squats! However, I am extremely proud of you for making the climb this morning! I will be on the mountain tomorrow, but will not have to do squats afterwards!

...and before wall squat challenge begins. Confidence is high! (Missing from photo is Mr. L.A.)

The pain sets in on the Wall Squat Challenge

And, the field narrows. (Click on photo to enlarge to see facial expressions). Lightning Aussie proved strongest at this wall competition at 300 seconds on August 4th!

Congratulations Hatchcover for your Whale booking--and thank you, MakeMyOwnRules!

This win equated to a Benchmark Rally Cap for H.C. and 395 seconds of wall squats for the rest of us. Many of us joined the challenge.

Sales admits defeat in Push-Up Challenge to Fitness

After witnessing, the King of Push, Drill Sergeant Lopez push every style imaginable.
You rock, Wil!

Talk about a CHALLENGE!

Upon rolling into work today, I was confronted with a big number.

It wasn't the number of pushups we had to do today, which are 62, it wasn't the number of site visits we had today, no, it was the number of squats we had to do!

Are you ready for the number? 1765! That is equivilant to 29 minutes and 25 seconds worth of squats. Now, after our great coaching yesterday from Drill Sergeant Lopez, we all know how to do a proper "chair squat."

I have done 180 so far today, I know Bulldog has done 480, and FoN, GiT, Legs, Princess Jess, IBT Master, and Champ have done upwards of 240.

Have fun with it today, but pace yourself, and take care of yourself. (BUT PUSH AS FAR AS YOU CAN!)

Cheyenne Mountain Resort ranks #6 in Best Companies to Work for in Colorado

Immediately following the acceptance of such an honor, two Pushers celebrate the moment by dropping to the floor and Pushing for all to see. Did you expect anything less?

Frosty, what were you thinking?!

Brace yourself for the most daring push-up photos published on our blog, compliments of Frosty Reydams.

Hatchcover Pusher does Section 16 push-ups

Pushes and squats

Laura was correct, only 22 push ups for today.

However, the big news is how many squats we have to do! We have 395 thanks to Hatchcover Pusher's big group that turned definite on Friday.

I recommend you get started now. Bulldog, by the way, did 7 minutes and 1 second of squats yesterday, I as her witness. TOP THAT BELLRINGERS!!! (photo to follow soon)

CMR Bruisers take bronze medal at State Games of America

CMR Bruisers (Princess Jess, Lightning Aussie, PushOver, Gracious Athlete, Bulldog, Champ, Hatchcover Pusher, Mr. L.A., and Legs) secured the bronze medal. Missing from team photo are Lynda, Lee, Scott, John, Sheila and Penny. Thousands looked on as this team of powerful beauties dropped to the floor and cranked out a few push-ups (you should see the photos that haven't been published).
